Delete Your Account

At ChhakdaWala, we value your privacy and give you full control over your personal account and data. This guide explains how you can delete your account, what happens during and after deletion, our data retention periods, and how to reach our support team.

1. How to Delete Your Account

Users can delete their account in two convenient ways:

• From the App: Open your respective app (Delivery Partner: Chhakdawala or Chhakdawala: Logistics App) → Go to Profile → Delete Account → Delete.

2. What Happens After Deletion

• Immediate Account Deactivation: Your account is immediately deactivated upon confirmation.
• Automatic Logout: You will be logged out of all active sessions across all devices and cannot log back in.
• Login Prevention: If you attempt to log in using your registered credentials, the system will display:
  "Your account is deleted. Please contact support."

3. Data Retention & Anonymization

We follow a strict, phased data deletion process to ensure security, compliance, and dispute resolution:

• 60-Day Soft-Deletion Period: Your account data (such as name, phone number, and email address) is retained securely for 60 days following your deletion request. During this 60-day period, your account remains soft-deleted, restricted, and inaccessible.
• Permanent Deletion (Day 60+): After 60 days, all personally identifiable information (PII), including your name, phone number, email, photos, and uploaded media, is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our active records and storage.
• Irreversible Action: Once personal data has been permanently anonymized, this process cannot be reversed or undone.

5. Can I Reactivate My Account?

Yes, but only within the first 60 days. If you change your mind within the 60-day soft-deletion period, you can contact our support team to cancel your deletion request and reactivate your account. However, once the 60-day period has passed and your data is permanently deleted, your account cannot be restored. At that point, you will need to register as a brand-new user if you wish to use ChhakdaWala services again.
